Bordering Vaux-sur-mer at Nauzan beach, Saint-Palais-sur-Mer is a popular seaside resort in the Royan area. Its beautiful seaside location and largely forested area make it the perfect setting for your holiday. With its beautiful Platin beach (one of the most beautiful beaches in St Palais sur Mer), the curiosity of the Auture well on the customs path, or the Raymond Vignes lake and its 4.3 hectares of fresh water, the seaside resort of Saint-Palais boasts a remarkable natural heritage. On the coast, you can discover the Terre Nègre lighthouse, the customs house and the carrelets (small fishing nets) so emblematic of the Charente. In the town centre, the immaculate whiteness of Notre-Dame du Platin contrasts with the medieval allure of the old 12th-century bell tower, a veritable cultural and architectural jewel of the Poitou-Charentes region.
